The National STEM Quiz  for Private Senior High Schools provides a prestigious national platform where brilliant young minds from private schools across Ghana compete, collaborate, and demonstrate their mastery of Mathematics and Science. We celebrate academic excellence while nurturing the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators.

TEAM COMPOSITION

Each participating school shall present:

  • Three (3) main contestants
  • One (1) reserve contestant

Teams may be mixed-gender. All contestants must meet age and academic eligibility requirements outlined in the official rules.

GOVERNANCE & ORGANIZATION

The quiz is organized by an independent educational committee made up of experienced educators, scientists, and assessment professionals.

ELIGIBILITY
  • Only private Senior High Schools duly registered and recognized by the appropriate educational authorities in Ghana may participate
  • Contestants must be bona fide students for the 2025/2026 academic year
  • Each school may present one team only

Press Launch of the National Maths and Science Quiz for Private Senior High Schools in Ghana (National STEM Quiz)

The National Maths and Science Quiz for Private Senior High Schools in Ghana was officially launched at a press event held on 27th December 2025 at the GNAT Hall in Accra. The event brought together representatives from the Ministry of Education, government agencies, private secondary school associations, school proprietors, media partners, and other key stakeholders in education.

The keynote address was delivered by Michael Chris Tetteh Esq, Chief Executive Officer of Pierian Spring. In his speech, he emphasized the critical role of Mathematics and Science as the foundation of innovation, technology, and national development. He highlighted the significant contribution of private Senior High Schools to Ghana’s education sector and noted the lack of a dedicated national platform for these schools to showcase excellence in STEM disciplines.
